Nine Questions with Daybreak Embrace Co-Founder Kenny Figueroa

With over ten years experience playing in the South Florida rock scene, the founding members of Daybreak Embrace are no strangers to pleasing crowds with their edgy brand of soulful hard rock. Pulling influences from multiple genres, Daybreak Embrace strives to make music that showcases meaningful lyrics against a musical backdrop of raw energy. Having released their debut EP, Tomorrow Awaits, Daybreak Embrace has set their sights on touring and bringing their creative blend of aggression and soul to the masses.

As the owner/founder of Hablanews.com, I have had the special privilege of meeting many amazing people in my life. It's even more wonderful when some of those people share your own blood. I would like to present a pretty special person and band to Hablanews.com readers. My own cousin, Kenny Figueroa who co-found the band Daybreak Embrace along with his friend Gian Rubio, drummer.

Kenny knows that this is not just a shameless family plug. These guys are actually MORE than really good. Their songs are original, James "Wamo" Wamsley's vocals intense, Gian's drumming ehhh even more intense. Not left behind and adding to the intense mix are Kenny on Rhythm Guitar, Dan 'Kardagan' Cartagena on lead guitar, and Daniel 'Costa' Costa on bass.

Although we live over one thousand miles apart, thanks to Facebook, Kenny and I were able to do a Q&A so that you may get to know your new favorite band a little better:

Question 1: Please describe your music to our readers? Dude, you're from MIAMI????? Why not go the typical Latino route of Salsa/Merengue/ or Reggaeton? Where did your parents go wrong? Just Kidding, but seriously what happened?
