Announcing The All New Master of Public Health At Temple University Harrisburg

Temple University Harrisburg is pleased to announce the all new Master of Public Health program beginning fall 2011 at the Harrisburg campus. Temple University Harrisburg is located in the heart of downtown Harrisburg, the home of Pennsylvania´s state government and capitol, and is easily accessible to all major area highways. The campus is located within the Strawberry Square complex, close to many state associations and businesses. Temple University Harrisburg caters to the busy adult by offering a convenient evening and weekend course schedule. Outstanding Ph.D. and practitioner faculty provide outstanding educational opportunities.

Temple University´s Master of Public Health was one of the first fully accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) in the Delaware Valley and has over 20 years of experience in training public health professionals.


Program Information:

Temple Harrisburg would like to welcome this new program that serves and is conveniently accessible to Harrisburg, Hershey, Lancaster, Lebanon, and York. The Master of Public Health program concentration is in Social and Behavioral Science (SBS). The program is 45 credit hours, and can be completed part time in 3 years. This MPH Social and Behavioral Science concentration program has a strong focus on addressing the behavioral, social, and cultural factors related to individual and population health, and the social and behavioral aspects of community health, health communication, program implementation and evaluation, and health education.

The program requires:
18 core credit hours
18 concentration credit hours
9 elective credit hours

Admissions Requirements:
o Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution of higher education
o Overall grade point average of at least 3.0
o GRE or MATS are required
