Javier Fernandez-Peña (Spanish Buzz) is a highly experienced voiceover artist based in London. Nicknamed by his English colleagues "The Voice of Spain,"he has a way of conveying the spoken message with unique finesse. His flawless diction, elegant style and his adaptability tot he expectationis of the target audience make him one of the most sought after male Spanish European voiceovers in the inustry today.
Fernandez-Peña has voice characters for toys, videogames and cartoon series, and voiceover and narration for TV and radio commercials, audio books, and corporate and educational videos.
·How did the great opportunity to play Spanish Mode Buzz come about? - I got an email directly from the casting director at Pixar, they were interested in my voice and the fact I was from Spain, so I did not have anything to lose, at the start I though they want me to voice in English with Spanish accent..., it was great to discover they wanted me actually to voice in Castilian Spanish!
·What Acting Background/Experience if any did you revisit for this role? - Well, I saw the film a couple of time, and some scenes without the sound so as to see how the character moved and his expressions. As for the voice, following the training I had from my teacher in Animation, I tried to keep the character, playful, light and genuine!
·Would you say or consider Buzz from Latino Background now that we all have discovered he has a Spanish Mode? - Totally, now Buzz has a latino heart through which he can express his romantic side!
