Babies are expensive to begin with, so who wants to dish out extra money to get rid of morning sickness symptoms? Before you head out to pick up preggo pops or sea-sickness bands, you might want to give the following ideas a try:
1. Make sure your stomach is never completely empty. Keep a snack at your bedside and eat it before lifting your head off your pillow. When you do get out of bed, take it slow.
2. Try lavender. The aroma of lavender can calm a queasy stomach. Add essential oil drops to a diffuser or humidifier to scent the air. Peppermint works, too.
3. Taste tart things. Lemon is often helpful. Treat yourself to a treat – freeze lemonade into popsicles. Sucking on something like this, or a lollipop – even peeled ginger root – can help.
4. Postpone brushing. Do not brush your teeth immediately
after eating.
5. Crunch some chips and crackers. Pregnancy is one time chips may actually be beneficial to you. Stick to plain versions of these two and they could help settle your stomach.
6. Avoid fried, fatty foods. They take longer to digest and the grease can act as an irritant, so if you’re among the 50 percent of pregnant women who experience morning sickness, you might want to lay off the fried foods.

• You feel dehydrated and/or are not urinating.
• You can’t keep anything down. If
