Lancaster, PA, September 13, 2010: The Puerto Rican Committee of Lancaster is proud to announce the 31st Annual Puerto Rican Parade on Saturday, September 18th, 2010 at 1:00 PM. This years theme is “Unidos Preservando Nuestra Cultura Latina” - United Preserving Our Latin Culture.
Festivities begin at 11:00 AM Saturday morning with Salsa dancing at Binns Park sponsored by the S. Central PA Salsa Meetup Group. The parade begins at 1:00 pm with dignitaries from the City of Lancaster, floats, marching bands, youth groups, dance companies, and cultural groups participating in the parade.
Festivities continue after the parade with dance performances, live music, and entertainment at Binns Park. Entertainment includes Latin/R&B singer, Amaryllis y Su Banda, rising Salsa star, Edwin Lebron, and Herencia Latina Dance Group to name a few. “El Gringo de la Salsa”- DJ Latin Leprechaun, and DJ Paul will also play live throughout the day.
The parade route starts at E. Orange and Board Streets culminating at Binns Park on N. Queen Street. Entertainment and food for the entire family will be available from 9:00AM to 8:00PM when the event concludes.

The committee exists to represent our community in a positive manner and promote the history, culture, music, and people of Puerto Rico. It is an effort to further develop strengthen and maintain a positive image of Puerto Ricans while working together with other community organizations, as we assume our rightful place as leaders among the Hispanic communities in Lancaster, PA.
