Hamilton Health Center, Inc., a health care center servicing residents in Central Pennsylvania , is currently recruiting for a Health Benefits Coordinator to work in our benefits department at our Fulton Street location.
Acting as a liaison between the health care center and the patient, provides assistance with the explanation and eligibility of programs to assure the patient receives applicable service opportunities to their unique situation. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of health care services, including knowledge of differences in oral health and physical health coverage’s of managed care systems and be able to enter, manage, store and retrieve data using various software packages and have a demonstrated skill in keyboard and computer technology. Must be able to communicate politely and courteously with people from different socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds, be industrious and have good planning and organizational skills, be able to learn new skills quickly and efficiently, and have strong verbal and written communication skills. Also must be able to establish and maintain harmonious, productive working relationships with Center’s management, physicians, clinicians, and general public. Must have a high school degree or equivalent, a minimum of one year experience in a patient customer contact position, have general knowledge of Health Benefit Programs and be able to handle moderate physical activity, including handling of average-weight objects in office environment, and be able to stand/sit or walk as needed in the completion of daily duties. We are looking for Bi-lingual Spanish speaking applicants and individual flexible to work extended hours as work site needs demand.
